Design, Demolition, Financing and Construction of the New National Stadium Complex

The project was conceived by Italy’s renowned architectural studio, Archea Associated, led by world-renowned architect Marco Casamonti. The new National Stadium complex consists of building a modern space designed not only for sports games events but also for a variety of social and cultural activities. The new stadium will be a Category IV stadium, making it one of the most modern stadiums not only in Albania but also in the region.

The project is one of the most complex architectural and engineering works built in recent years in Albania and includes about 200,000 m3 of earthworks, 75,000 m3 of concrete work, 13,000 tons of ironwork and over 6,000 tons of steel structures.

The stadium will have a capacity of 22,000 seats and all spectator stands will be completely covered.
